"The best exhibition I have seen for a long time, very powerful and emotive. These paintings are strong, beautiful and informative. I will tell friends to come and look. Thank you"
This exhibition is organised by A Picture of Health Ltd, a newly registered charity (No 1064061), which aims to use art as a means of relieving distress and hardship experienced by patients suffering from cancer and other serious diseases. This unique series of oil paintings has resulted from a four year study of Breast Cancer Care by Susan Manfarlane in close consultation with a consultant histopathologist. These thought-provoking works offer a new concept of communication between the mediacal world, it's patients and the public at large. The object is to de-mystify medicine, be informative and help viewers understand the illness and its treatment.
