I would be interested in recieving more information on how your folks are getting
the message out to women that they need to be doing self breast exam
monthly and having a mammogram every year. Any information would be
helpful. I am a survivor and mammographer in in Norway, Maine, USA

Hello WP,

Sorry for delay in replying. You will need to contact the Bristol Centre by
post or phone, they are not on e-mail. They have a number of brochures on
their services and programmes.

Best wishes, Marie

Hello DL
We are happy for you to reproduce this from our site if you wish. We made
this page following an email suggestion from a visitor to the site, using a
card produced by Estee Lauder as part of the press pack for Breast Cancer
Awareness Month last year. The same card is in this year's pack and you can
get a copy from the Estee Lauder press office (0171) 409 6822. There is no
info on the card about who provided the BSE instructions or drawings. Estee
Lauder may wish to be credited (though they have never asked this of us).

We would be happy for you to point out that the information is on our site
or to publicise the URL of our site in any material you produce. We would
be grateful for a copy of any printed material.

Regards,

Marie

Subject: The Kim Beeston Appeal Fund

Hi, My name is David Beeston,
My wife Kim died in April 1995 of breast cancer at the age of 33.
Since Kims death I have set up an appeal fund on behalf of the Christie
Hospital - Manchester (Where Kim was treated and died).
I am in the process of setting up a web page for the fund and would like
to include a link to your pages if you have no objection?
To date we have raised just under 5,000.
As well as raising funds, the Kim Beeston Appeal is dedicated to raising
awareness of Breast Cancer, espeacialy in younger women.
I am in the process of trying to raise funding for a video based roughly
on Kims experiences to be distrubted free of charge locally to start
with, and hopefully distributed on a larger scale later.
The main message of the video will be "So you think you're too young"?
at explain what women should be looking for and to insist on prompt
treatment if they are the slightest bit worried. -Better to waste 10
minutes of a Drs time than to be dead!
I would be grateful for any help and advice you may be able to give me
with regard to raising funding (@2,000) and any ideas on distribution.

Yours faithfully

David Beeston
The Kim Beeston Appeal Fund
